JL³ Online Masterclass

The Hidden Cost of Stalled Performance

You may be watching the problem and still missing the cause. This Masterclass will help you examine one real performance issue through the workplace conditions quietly shaping the result.

Before you begin, take a few minutes to understand the lens you’ll be using. The value of this Masterclass comes from looking at one real issue carefully, not rushing through the tool.

Step 1 of 10 · Watch the welcome video below before starting your diagnostic.

Start Here

Before you begin the diagnostic, watch this short welcome video. It will explain how to move through the Masterclass, how to choose the right performance issue, and how to use your Executive Brief when you’re finished.

What You’ll Complete

This is not a passive video course. You’ll work through one real performance challenge and build a clearer view of what may be making that result more likely.

1

Clarify the issue

You’ll choose one observable performance challenge to examine throughout the Masterclass.

2

Apply the six levers

You’ll examine Shared Capacity, Skill Readiness, Peer Norms, System Cues, Tool Support, and Mindset Alignment.

3

Generate your brief

You’ll estimate the possible performance leakage and generate an Executive Brief based on your responses.

How to Use This Masterclass

You’ll get the most value if you use the same performance issue from start to finish. Don’t switch examples as you move through the levers. The point is to look at the same issue through different workplace conditions.

  • Choose a real issue, not a hypothetical one.
  • Frame the issue as something observable, not as a conclusion about why it’s happening.
  • Answer based on what is actually happening in the work, not what the process says should be happening.
  • Use conservative estimates when you reach the cost section.
  • Treat the Executive Brief as a starting point for better questions, not a final diagnosis.

A useful issue sounds like: “Response times are slowing down,” “rework has increased,” “handoffs between teams are creating delays,” or “new employees are taking longer than expected to become independent.”
